News of the month

Just a few bits of information for you this week:

We have The Cheese Life food truck coming this Sunday from 5:30 to 7:30. I’m really hoping for a good turn-out for them, as attendance to these events has been minimal compared to last year. I’m afraid that will be the end of the food truck visits for the neighborhood if people are unable to come out and support them. So, please try and make an effort to get out and grab some dinner from them!

A date for the second annual Neighborhood Block Party has been announced. Please save the date for August 14th from 5pm to 10pm. It will be located on Decatur Street. Streetside Foods food truck will be there from 5pm to 8pm, serving up burgers and other things for purchase. Otherwise, please feel free to bring along some chairs and beverages and just hang out and socialize. There will be some games, along with bingo and karaoke! You can also bring along a dessert or snack/side to share!

Potholes around the neighborhood are getting repaired this week. One of our main projects, the extension of a few sidewalks around the walking trails, is sadly being postponed until at least September. The company doing it has a lack of materials and manpower, like a lot of other businesses right now.
